I still remember when my mother allowed me to use her camera Nikon FM3 during a cruise in the Mediterranean; under the incredulous eyes of her friends, I began to take photographs. It was 1988 … I was 6 years old. The results of my photos were exciting, certainly for the settings that my mother made to the camera. Framing, focus and photographic cut, in spite of my youth and my inexperience, did predict immediately that the world of photography would become my new playing field. I was fascinated by what I’ve always felt a little time machine and so I asked, the same year, as a birthday present my personal camera. Konica arrived, fully automatic focus and digital zoom. I remember that I was not especially pleased, I was hoping to have a Nikon as that of my mother, who still, in many occasions such as trips or birthday parties, let me use with the relevant recommendations! Late 80s, fully automatic, my camera Konica was a great help to me because I learned the concept of photographic cut without worrying about all the other issues related to the physical.
When I was 16, I asked my Nikon camera and my small set of lenses. The study of different texts in photography gave me the foundation needed to understand the instrument I had in my hands. In two years, alternating between school and my afternoon job, I managed to buy my first objectives: a telephoto lens and a macro. Thanks to the work of my father, in the art market, I got my first job assignments as a photographer of works of art: paintings, sculptures and jewelry. So I met the art world, I began to introduce myself as a skilled photographer but also as an artistic photographer. I began to appear in several national auctions and expose my pictures in different exhibition sites in Italy. This world, even if completely revolutionized by digital cameras SLR, always fascinates me and I continue my never-ending research for the right mix of wonder and light, starting from the phenomenon to get to the noumenon.
This world has been completely revolutionized by digital SLR cameras, changing the world of photography. A new art form was emerging: digital art.
Since the end of the 90s I immediately became familiar with these new and powerful tools trying to fix the border between photography and digital art or to interconnect them in a single new form. The world keeps changing and I continue my never-ending research for the right mix of wonder and light, starting from the phenomenon to get to the noumenon, from a tiny byte to create an emotion.
Over the years I have studied various programming languages at the beginning to better visualize what I was doing also in the online world and then focus more and more on technical visual aspects.
I also learned server-side languages to be able to create without limits as well as to be able to offer an ever better service.
Php and MyQL have become my daily tools to be able to offer dedicated services or to be able to easily interact within CMS such as WordPress, Magento, Drupal and many others.
In 2014-2016 I was a senior javascript programmer at Google.
For years I have been working as a freelancer for various national and international companies in the field of IT security, but also as a graphic designer and webdesigner.
Ricordo ancora quando mia madre mi permise di usare la sua fotocamera Nikon FM3 durante una crociera nel Mediterraneo; sotto gli occhi increduli delle sue amiche, ho cominciato a fotografare. Era il 1988… Avevo 6 anni. I risultati delle mie foto sono stati entusiasmanti, sicuramente per le impostazioni che mia madre ha fatto alla fotocamera. Inquadratura, messa a fuoco e taglio fotografico, nonostante la mia giovinezza e la mia inesperienza, hanno predetto subito che il mondo della fotografia sarebbe diventato il mio nuovo campo di gioco. Ero affascinato da quella che ho sempre sentito una piccola macchina del tempo e così ho chiesto, lo stesso anno, come regalo di compleanno la mia macchina fotografica personale. Arrivò la mia Konica, messa a fuoco completamente automatica e zoom digitale. Ricordo che non ero particolarmente contento, speravo di avere una Nikon come quella di mia madre, che ancora, in molte occasioni come viaggi o feste di compleanno, me la faceva usare con i relativi consigli! Fine anni ’80, completamente automatica, la mia macchina fotografica Konica mi è stata di grande aiuto perché ho imparato il concetto di taglio fotografico senza preoccuparmi di tutte le altre problematiche legate alla fisica della luce.
Quando avevo 16 anni, ho chiesto di avere una Nikon e un mio piccolo set di obiettivi. Lo studio di diversi testi in fotografia mi hanno dato le basi necessarie per comprendere lo strumento che avevo tra le mani. In due anni, alternando scuola e lavoro pomeridiano, sono riuscito ad acquistare i miei primi obiettivi: un teleobiettivo e un macro. Grazie al lavoro di mio padre, nel mercato dell’arte, ho ottenuto i miei primi incarichi di lavoro come fotografa di opere d’arte: dipinti, sculture e gioielli. Così ho conosciuto il mondo dell’arte, ho cominciato a presentarmi come fotografo di expertise ma anche come fotografo artistico. Ho iniziato ad apparire in diverse aste nazionali ed esporre le mie foto in diverse location espositive in Italia. Questo mondo, anche se completamente rivoluzionato dalle reflex digitali, mi affascina sempre e continuo la mia incessante ricerca del giusto mix di meraviglia e luce, partendo dal fenomeno per arrivare al noumeno.
Questo mondo è stato completamente rivoluzionato dalle fotocamere reflex digitali, cambiando il mondo della fotografia. Stava emergendo una nuova forma d’arte: l’arte digitale.
Dalla fine degli anni ’90 ho subito familiarizzato con questi nuovi e potenti strumenti cercando di fissare il confine tra fotografia e arte digitale o di interconnetterli in un’unica nuova forma. Il mondo continua a cambiare e io continuo la mia incessante ricerca del giusto mix di meraviglia e luce, partendo dal fenomeno per arrivare al noumeno, da un minuscolo byte per creare un’emozione.
Negli anni ho studiato all’inizio vari linguaggi di programmazione per visualizzare al meglio quello che stavo facendo anche nel mondo online per poi concentrarmi sempre di più sugli aspetti tecnici visivi.
Ho anche imparato linguaggi lato server per poter creare senza limiti oltre che per poter offrire un servizio sempre migliore.
Php e MyQL sono diventati i miei strumenti quotidiani per poter offrire servizi dedicati o per poter interagire facilmente all’interno di CMS come WordPress, Magento, Drupal e molti altri.
Nel 2014-2016 sono stato programmatore javascript senior presso Google.
Da anni lavoro come libero professionista per diverse aziende nazionali ed internazionali nel campo della sicurezza informatica, ma anche come grafico e webdesigner.
